I love having palm trees in my front yard. It's what really made me love this house when we moved to Florida, but there is a dark side!
You have to do a lot of trimming. And if when they get taller then you, it is hard to get to them to trim...
Plus, they have BRUTAL thorns all over their fronds! I mean sharp as hypodermic needles and will make you sting and itch for hours where ever they get you!
On top of that (thanks to a local ordinance) we have to stack & bind them into small bundles to be picked up. It too me about 4 hours of backbreaking work to get my 6 palms completely trimmed, cleaned up, and all the fronds packed and ready to ship.
but it is all worth it when they end up looking like this!
