Big day for my Bama girls!!

Headed to Citrus Bowl for fun day for the whole family!

At the stadium!

Naomi spotted the Budweiser Clydesdales!

Got to our seats early!  Ready to go!

Ok, maybe a little too early...

Head to the shade for a bite to eat....

Found some cool Alabama stuff too!

Game is underway!

Great looking day!

Bama played great and stomped MSU!

We even ran into some great friends from Alabama!
We loved seeing Jimmy and Randy who we miss so much!

Then headed back home with Pizza for dinner to watch some more bowl games tonight!

Thanks to all who have followed this year.
Please keep up with our family in 2011 and beyond on

Happy New Year!

December 31, 2010

What a year!
This blog started on Dec 31st of last year as Eli and I were headed to bed, ready to see our Auburn Tigers in the OUTBACK BOWL the next day.  *(they won and now have the longest win streak in College Football going, as they ready to play for the national title in a week, but I digress)

This seems a fitting post for the last day of the year, to show the kids (both this time) sleeping as we prepare to head out in the morning to see Tina and Naomi's beloved Crimson Tide play in the Citrus Bowl (now sadly called the Capital One bowl).

It will not be my last post here, as I will post one more day of photos from the Bowl game like I did from last year tomorrow night.... but will it return?  (see below)

This has been a fantastic year and a fun experiment with the daily photo blog.  I have gotten lots of messages from family and friends who have enjoyed it and wonder if I am going to keep it going.  Well the answer is yes, and now.  Yes I will continue to post Photos and to blog our family's fun and games, but not on this site (it is called 2010 photos...)     I will instead go back to using my regular blog page that I have ignored for the year to care for this one... and will not likely do something EVERY day but will try to do as much as I can.

This has been fun!  I truly hope you have enjoyed it.  It is staying put so feel free if you are ever board to wander around here and reminisce!

Citrus Parade!!

Naomi is like mom... she is also an Alabama fan!

Family right before the parade!

Our favorite part of the parade, THE VILLAGE TWIRLERS!
Drum corp of old men, and old women doing the flags and baton twirling!

And of course, the Million Dollar Band with Big Al and the cheerleaders!

My redneck girl!

Naomi asked for (and got) cowboy boots, guitar, and a pocketknife for Christmas!  Then she took back a radio controlled race car that was not working, and instead of another, she got a Monster truck version of Ford F150.

God love her.  She may have been born in China, but her heart (and her neck) is clearly from Alabama!

Merry Christmas to me!

Instead of presents, I got everyone to give me $$

Now I have gotten myself a few new toys!  :)

December 26, 2010

I don't care what the stickers say, there is NO WAY that a Hall & Oats set is worth as much as a Johnny Cash Live At Folsom Prison box set!! And by NO MEANS is it worth MORE!  This is just wrong!!

Christmas Eve!

First off to shop (and eat) at IKEA!

Then late afternoon Christmas Eve worship service at Grace Orlando!

We studied about the greatest gift ever given to all mankind!

Then home to open a couple of special presents from mom.
CHRISTMAS PJs!  (and a dvd of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!)
Better not pout, you better not cry...

Naomi's test kitchen!

She actually created this cookie recipe today while cooking with Tina and she called them Cline Cookies, but then changed it NAOMI'S CHOCOLATE QUARTERS (they are about the size of a quarter and Naomi is really into Money!)

They're REALLY GOOD and the powered sugar makes them even yummier!

The future Paula Dean!

The only way to enjoy family movie night (Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader)

is with our thrifty mom and her smuggler's purse!!

3 bags of popcorn, 2 bags of candy, and 3 bottles of water.

December 19, 2010

Eli and Naomi wanted to buy each other presents with their
own money for the first time this year.

So today we took the kids in different directions so they
could shop for Christmas presents for each other.

They liked the process. Lots of different stores. Lots of different gift ideas.
I just hope they like what the other got for them.   :)
