Eli and Naomi's Clubhouse!

If that does not sound like enough fun, there is more!

This is not just ANY clubhouse.

It is for Friends and "Famaly"...

AND apparently for "grilfriends to"!
I am pretty excited because Eli's "grilfriend" list has lots of fun possibilities like Lucy from Narnia movies... and Natalie Portman!

Eli had a bad afternoon.

I got a frantic call at work today from Tina about Eli.  He had been playing under his bed and apparently gotten something in the eye or poked because Tina saw a large cut on his eye.  I rushed home to help her as she prepared to take him the ER.  Once I got home, using a magnifying glass, I was able to see that it was not a cut, but something on his eye.
It took a little time, a lot of eye wash and some TLC but we got it out.  It looks like it was part of a leaf or something but was very hard and pretty big, plus with its color Tina thought it was a gash on his eyeball.  Thank goodness it wasn't.

Little red and puffy, mostly from crying, but he is 100% better now.

Being a parent is always a lot of fun. Never a dull moment.

Great night tonight. Since the Altamonte Softball league Easter "EggStavaganza" was canceled due to rain this morning flooding the fields, I took the kids out for the night! We started at McDonald's...
And we ate and ate and ate...

Then we headed to TOYS R US to let Eli spend some of his money on a Lego set that he could not live without...

Then we went home to get ready for bed and I captured them having fun brushing their teeth.

Then once the kids were in bed, Tina and I watched a great movie together.  Awesome!!

At first glance this small shopping plaza seems like the most unusual place for this church to operate their services and their childcare business, but then again... Where better to show the love of Christ unconditionally than right between a discount liquor store and a tattoo parlor!   Can I get an Amen?!

Not sure when it happened, but our family is now one of "those families."   We are now officially a ballpark family.  One of those families that is at the ballpark several nights a week then heads to the ballpark early on Saturday, and are there all day.... and sometimes on Sundays!

This weekend Naomi is playing in her first Softball Tournament. This is a seperate team than her regular rec ball team, but they asked her to join, which is apparently a big deal since she is only 6.5 years old... So this was our first of many future weekends to be at the park watching games all weekend long!  At least in Orlando, most of the days we have here in spring are really nice weather days for ball.  But also its so good we have active summer and fall leagues here too!

*(and if you are digging the retro pictures, I was recently turned on to a new iPhone app called Hipstamatic which is a camera app with different lenses, flashes and film effects.  Here is an example of a different effect. Check it out!.... and yes, Plumb was the one who told me about it :)

Having friends stop by early is a great way to start the day!!  The band LEELAND (sans new daddy, Jack) are always a fun hang. Today was no different.  I learned all about Baytown TX too!!

Nothing is better with your brunch than some fresh fruit... In this case, PLUMB!

She has amazingly hip style!

and is such a Rockstar, she has her very own Nightlight! (yes, this one is in my kid's bathroom)

LOVE spending time with her.  ;)

Today instead of a picture, you get a short video. This morning Naomi helped our family get the day going in the right way, by reading outloud to us. She read the famous "Love chapter" from 1st Corinthians 13. I am sure it will bless you too. :)

*(click inside the box once the video starts to have it open up in youtube to see it bigger.)

by the way... Naomi is just in 1st grade (and reading better than I did in 5th grade!)

Inspired by the artwork they saw at the Winter Park Art Festival, today the kids made their very own Fobots (Found Object Robots)
http://www.ifobot.com

This is a dog...  looks like a cat to me, but I am assured it is a dog.

This is a girl.  And the beauty of this design in that Naomi can put things inside the stomach to simulate what she might have eaten.

This is the boy.  He has cool hair and big shoes.

Then Eli decided to make some art for me and Tina, then put in on the top of our bed...

I can only assume he put it above our bed, because it was a drawing of Cupid... or so it says. :)

Ok, so we do not have a Michelangelo or Georgia O'Keefe on our hands, but at least we have fun, creative kids!!

what a great day for softball.  I am sunburned but had a blast watching my little Shorty play great softball!

Then we went to the FUN SPOT (It's Huge!) and rode rides and played video games!

The view from the Farris Wheel was awesome!

Go Magic! My brother Chris and his family came to town today for Spring Break in sunny Florida!  We started things off fast by heading straight downtown for the Magic vs Spurs game!

Eli and his cousin Andrew have a great view of pregame warmups.
All the cousins are ready for the game to start!

Aunt Jennifer has Eli and Ben in a good spot to watch the action!

Chris and Andrew are getting into the action!

Tina settles back into the couch to hang with Eli and Naomi (and catch the game on the TV above head!)
Magic Wins!  Great game and a great start to the hosting of my brother's family spring break.  :)
