Today was tobyMac day, all day, at Z88.3!  It started early in the morning when he co-hosted the Z88.3 morning show with Ellis and Tyler.

Then at the Pastor's luncheon with New Missions,  tobyMac shared his testimony and talked about his life and family, and shared how diversity is impacting his music, his world, and the church... in a good good way! 

Tonight is the new cd, in stores now... You gotta get you some of this Funky Jesus Music!!

Then tonight tobyMac shared the stories behind the music of his cd with Z88.3 winners and guests and showed his videos (not even finished yet) to get a glimpse into his new creation.  TONIGHT is the night, for sure!  

Thanks Toby.  We really liked you opening up and letting us inside for a little while.  What a cool night.

We were at an Italian restaurant instead of a Chinese restaurant, so Tina came up with the idea of "making" the kids their very own "fortunes" with their napkin/silverware wrap. 

Then the kids got in on it too, making them for us.

Nice. you can tell Naomi just tolerates me....  ;)

Tina got a BIGTIME haircut today. Her 10-inch pony tail was cut off for Locks Of Love to help make wigs for kids who have lost their hair due to cancer. Now she ha an adorable short doo that makes her look hip, fun and good bit younger... but just as pretty as always! 

Bailey is not too sure about it yet.

Naomi got her hair trimmed too, but she LOVES Tina's new hair!  (Look at that smile!!) Bailey just likes to have her's petted. ;)

tobyMac's new CD called TONIGHT hit stores today... so now I can finally share with you the video I have had to keep secret until now!

About 8 months ago, I was in Nashville with some other Christian radio folks from around the country for the recording of the Chris Tomlin Christmas CD (which I posted videos from a while back at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbudGoWZkLA ) but afterwards, we all rushed over to tobyMac's private studio where we hung out while he played clips from the new CD for us! Many of the songs were not finished yet and had not yet been played for anyone else! He even does a freestyle rap in the middle of one to show what it might sound like! Check it out!

*(also notice he wears the coolest vintage tennis shoes!)

Great way to start the day. We are out of half & half for our coffee,
but thanks to some recent cooking Tina had done we had some heavy

Naomi's Jobs.

My daughter is so organized. Don't know where she gets it.

She put a list of "things to do in the moring" by her light switch in her room. (She did it on her own. We did not even suggest it.)

Eli on the other hand... well, let's just say he is just like his daddy. ;)

Naomi was taking her spelling test (She loves that she gets to do it on Mom's computer!)

Eli is doing his reading (4th grade chapter book) and loves the fact he can do it on his bed with his breakfast. ;)

Time for another episode of "What Can Dad Get The Kids To Eat For Money?" In this one, Eli eats "things with Ketchup on it."

Rice, Biscuit, and Orange slice.

First, the rice (which he eats with ketchup all the time)

then the biscuit...

then the Orange slice!

do not think he liked it... but did not mind getting paid later.

but he still loves ketchup.

Naomi's turn. She has to eat "things with chocolate on them.... but that shouldn't!"

Baked chicken with gravy... AND Hershey's chocolate syrup!

four bites for $4.

getting harder...

third is really hard... so we stopped there. :)

Then they challenged DAD to the same test. He had to eat the last bite.

He did it, but he did not like it! :)

well, in the end, I did get my money's worth out of tormenting the kiddos and laughing while they laughed (and ate). They got $4 that I would have given them eventually anyway, but this was much more entertaining to me! :)

Tonight is the LOST Season 6 (Final Season) Premier! I am wearing my Hawaiian shirt and reading Chris Seay's book THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO LOST to get in the mood! 9 months of waiting, finally pays off. Can't wait!!
