Daddy/daughter trip to Tampa. Hotel, dinner out, then tomorrow, Lipizzaner Stallions!

Eli is going to miss his sister...

Naomi is READY TO GO!

We are HERE! And strangely enough, we parked right next to a car, that was not only the same make, model and color as mine, but also had a Z88.3 bumper sticker on it! Small World.

Naomi wasted NO time claiming a bed and getting comfortable.

She picked Smokey Bones for dinner and then was overwhelmed by all the options (Since it was a special night, Dad did not make her stick to the kids menu.)

Proving her good taste and how she will never be fat, she chose soup and salad. (like her mother would) and strawberry lemonade!

Then to TARGET to find a game to play in the room (unsuccessfully) but did find some fun barnyard animals. Naomi pointed out that the pig was as big as the horse.

We stumbled on a model in the TARGET toy section that is Eli's twin.

Back to the room for some ice cream and football in our pajamas.

So far, it is pretty fun! Off to bed soon, for a big day tomorrow.

Tonight I met and had dinner with Charmaine. http://www.charmainemusic.net She is a fun new Christian artist (though "new" is relative since she has been singing/performing since she could talk.) She was born in the USA, but raised in Sydney Australia. Now living in Nashville. Keep your eyes and ears out for her. You will mostly likely hear a lot of her.

Tina and the kids had a fun night out tonight. Thanks Charmaine. We loved all the great stories! :)

Lunchtime! (and for the record, I am pretty sure they put CRACK in those Cracked Pepper Triscuits... they are SO GOOD!)

Then some work to do in the production room (I am pretty excited about it, can you tell)

Later, after our stove stopped working (one more thing I have to get fixed around the house... dang!) we went to Tijuana Flats for some dindin! YUM!

(I am pretty excited about dinner too apparently... )

This is what teenagers do when they are bored and inside Sears at the mall.

Crazy teenagers! (made me giggle...)

It started out as a perfectly normal day...

But then I found out that I could pay my kids to do silly things! (today drinking a sip of pickle juice earned them both a quarter! whoo hoo!)

THEN...

I heard the news that Univ. of Southern Cal lost their freakin minds and hired Lane Kiffin away from Tennessee (which is funniest because TN fans probably helped pay for the buy out AND the moving truck... he was that good and that popular there.)

After work, I fixed myself a nice cup of Earl gray, hot.

Then I enjoyed some of Tina's wonderful chicken & sausage gumbo. hmmmmm.

I know it is winter, but this IS central Florida! I cannot believe it is SO COLD this morning!

After church our family went to check out the new restaurant that is the buzz of everyone I know. I could not figure out how a "fast food chicken place" could be so great. So we went to there to see for ourselves.

Eli liked it but was unsure about if it was the best chicken spot in town. (he did say that they had the best honey mustard dip in the whole world!)

Naomi really liked it a lot. She had chicken strips but would rather have gotten "chicken on the bone". She did say they have good Orange soda!

Tina thought the chicken was really good, but the sweet tea... well not as "legendary" as the cup claimed it was.

The final verdict for us is that it IS good. It is FAR Better than any other fast food chicken. (KFC, Popeye's, Mrs. Winners, Lee's, or Maryland) but it is still basically just fast food restaurant. I particularly liked the spice on the crispy coating. It was tender and juicy. (and I liked their tea pretty well...) I can't see it ever becoming on of our top choice restaurants, but I do think it will be a good place for us to go for lunch on occasions. :)

My parents got me these boxer shorts for Christmas... Who knew they
had a sense of humor! (Eli thinks they are the funniest ever!)

This is the view I had of my kids for 2 hours this morning as Luke and
"Old Obi Wan" try and save the galaxy from all sorts of evil bad guys!

Tina works on our Wii Fit to get her Fitness Age... And thanks to her
nice phyique she scored a 39! (I got a 32, but whose counting ;)

January 8, 2010

My kids, even my son who just weeks ago was SCREAMING for Auburn to
win at the Outback bowl, are pretty excited about Alabama's win last
night.

At home with Tina watching her Tide play Texas for all the marbles!!

After dinner with the wife and kids, they eat ice cream - dispite the
fact it's freezing outside. (they have brain damage!)

Though this one was only there for a moment, it is an example of one of my biggest pet peeves.

People at work should put their dishes IN the sink and rinse it out... Your momma don't work here!

Homeschool kids have to do chores for mom, BEFORE they start school.

After a long, deadly battle, Yoda is the only one standing! *(notice that he even took out a few NFL players in the background that are about 10x his size!)

Look what came in the mail today. Congrats to Matthew West for such an amazing year and a great album. This was a plaque commemorating his 15 week run at #1 on the charts with the song THE MOTIONS!

Too bad that Tina's buttermilk chicken was not well liked by the family tonight... ;)

And we end the night with a pre-bedtime harmonica serenade!

After a great morning at church, I had one of the best massages I have
ever had! (it was HER idea and it last a long long time too!) Happy Day!

Setting up our Wii Fit program was a bit depessing... Tina was in
great shape though! (so was Naomi, but we forgot to take that picture.)
